Crosslync.smartlab: valuable support from product development to maintaince
Piterion industry solution for laboratory device manufacturers enables direct access to devices in ongoing customer operation
Challenge
Manufacturers of laboratory devices must meet high requirements for their customers, the laboratory operators - both in the actual product that has to be configured more and more individually per customer, as well as service. In addition, the development of new devices takes up to seven years due to numerous legal regulations.
In addition, manufacturers must precisely record all system variants and individual configurations and also document their ongoing operation in the laboratory at the customer. However, older devices in particular cannot be connected afterwards. On the other hand, they must not be changed, otherwise the approval will be lost.
Solution
With the Crosslync.smartlab industry solution, Piterion offers a system that provides manufacturers of extensive information from laboratories and the devices operated in it during operation - in the form of a clear and intuitive app. It enables a visual 3D representation in a wide variety of levels of detail, starting from the entire laboratory to individual machine components.
For this purpose, the solution links numerous data sources from various, existing systems and experience along business processes across all phases of the product life cycle. On this basis, cross-divisional and system-wide business processes can be implemented flexibly and sustainably.
The basis of crosslync.smartlab is the integration platform Crosslync. It enables the overarching combine of different software systems and machines.
The use of the solution ranges from precisely preventive maintenance to forecasting for extraction improvement as well as solutions for exceptional situations to valuable inputs for the development and individual configuration of products in order to meet customer requirements even better.
In combination with virtual reality, products in the customer can be presented virtually at any time. Numerous steps can also be carried out virtually in the development of new products, which saves time and costs, for example for subsequent changes. At the same time, such a high level of trust arises, since all measures can be represented transparently.
